War and Peace replacement counters
Avatar
A bit pricey, but worth every penny in my opinion. Thick counter that have the feel of being made of plastic rather than laminated card. Good colours that look great with 4th Edition vassal map.

Second Review Attempt
Avatar
I wrote a review a couple of weeks ago regarding these counters.  Overall, I gave them a four out of five for general excellence.  The only reason they didn't get a five was because the Prussian allied counters (Saxons, Hessians and Brunswickers) were printed in yellow on a very pale feldgrau background, making them almost impossible to read.  (Mind you, the pale gray background works perfectly for the Prussians themselves.)  I recommended Camelot consider changing the color of the Prussian allies' symbols to orange for easier reading, though frankly we all know that companies simply don't DO things like that...

Imagine my surprise today, when I received in the mail a set of replacement Prussian counters with the Prussian allies printed in orange!  First, let me note how rare it is that anyone actually changes any physical component based on a mere review (in fact, I can only think of one example of anyone doing so -- these guys!)  Second, the orange worked perfectly -- they are completely legible and I must say I think these replacement counters are now simply perfect.

The sheer production quality of the entire set of counters, combined with the bright new color schemes and increased symbol and number sizes make these counters a simply fantastic set, and, in my opinion, well worth the price (keep in mind, at $88.00 you're getting four high-quality counter sheets, and, if you look at the going rate for other counter sheets sold here, that's a pretty standard rate of $22.00 per counter sheet).

I sincerely hope that all new WaP Replacement counter print jobs will feature the new orange version of the Prussian allies -- it's a great improvement.  And a super big thank you to Camelot for doing this!  My old eyes really appreciate it!
